State Police: Woman stole ,726 from Palmyra employer
A 65-year-old Marion woman has been charged with stealing more than $70,000 from her employer over the course of months. Michelle Hollingsworth, 65, of Marion was employed at Lor-Co, Inc. during a period from April until November this year. In all, police say she stole $71,726 from the company. Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts reports the arrest of one Marion woman after an investigation into welfare fraud. Deputies arrested Kathaleen Cortes, 39, of Marion for welfare fraud after an investigation was initiated by the Department of Social Services. Cortes had been working and failed to report the income to the agency, according to investigators. Cortes received $1,169.00 in benefits... more

Marion woman charged with driving while intoxicated
A Marion woman was charged Jan. 13 with aggravated driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, moving from lane unsafely, improper right turn and failure to keep right, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said. Christy Switzer, 39, was charged following a traffic stop on Cory Hill Road. She was allegedly found to have a blood-alcohol content of .20 percent, deputies said.... more
