Ontario County Sheriff’s staff completes Civil Refresher Training Program

Sixty-eight Deputy Sheriffs and civilian staff from 27 Sheriff’s Offices around the state recently completed a Civil Refresher Training Course, providing specialized training in Civil Law Enforcement. Clifton Springs man charged with illegally possessing loaded handgun

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Sunday around 12:48 am deputies arrested Christopher J. Jacobson, 34, of Clifton Springs for criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree. Deputies say he was found to be illegally possessing a loaded .22 caliber handgun. He was being held in the Ontario County Jail on pre-arraignment detention. more
