The Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Ontario County and the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office are pleased to announce the collection of unwanted prescription drug medication this past Saturday at the “Medication Take Back” event in the Town of Richmond/Hamlet of Honeoye. Ontario County Sheriff’s staff completes Civil Refresher Training Program

Sixty-eight Deputy Sheriffs and civilian staff from 27 Sheriff’s Offices around the state recently completed a Civil Refresher Training Course, providing specialized training in Civil Law Enforcement. 25-year-old accused of firing shotgun inside home; two arrests made after investigation

Deputies with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office report that an investigation into a shooting, which took place at a Richmond home has resulted in two arrests. Bloomfield woman stole items from Richmond home, deputies say

Deputies in Ontario County say that a 23-year-old Bloomfield woman was arrested after she allegedly stole a rechargeable battery valued at $200. Deputies arrested Ashley Baker, 23, of Bloomfield after she stole an impact driver and rechargeable battery from a residence on East Lake Road in Richmond. Richmond Town Supervisor charged with possessing stolen property

The Canandaigua Police Department reports that Nathan E. VanBortel, 33, who is the Richmond Town Supervisor was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property — a misdemeanor.
