One charged with AUO after accident that sent Geneva woman to hospital

Deputies in Ontario County say that Wednesday around 10:30 am they responded to the intersection of Route 5 and County Road 47 in Hopewell for the report of a personal injury motor vehicle accident.

Deputies say that Rebecca Hill, 36, of Clifton Springs was stopped in traffic in Route 5, facing east, when she was attempting to make a left turn onto County Road 47.

At that time, her vehicle was struck from behind by Nycholas David, 25, of Canon, Georgia.

As result of the accident, deputies say that Jennifer L. Mosher, 31, of Geneva complained of pain in her arm. She was transported to Geneva General Hospital for treatment by Canandaigua Ambulance. Deputies say no other injuries were reported.

The Hopewell Fire Department also responded to the scene.

All parties involved were wearing seat belts. Airbags deployed in both vehicles and Davis was charged with following too closely, aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to provide an insurance card.

Hill will answer the charges in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
