A homicide investigation is underway this morning in Victor. Ontario County Sheriff Phil Povero says Sheriffs’ Investigators are on the scene investigating a stabbing death in the town of Victor. The stabbing occured late last night. More details will be released later this morning.   more

The Syracuse man accused of engaging in an illegal sexual relationship with a Geneva teenage girl was briefly taken back into custody yesterday over a dispute about his release status. Seneca Falls Police were lead on a chase early this morning. Around midnight, a car was seen traveling at a high rate of speed on Ovid Street. No injuries were reported last night when an Amtrak train heading to Buffalo derailed in Lyons. Just before 6:30-the last three cars of the train jumped the tracks, but remained upright. 110-passengers were on the train when the accident occured. Newark police are trying to figure out how a man was struck and killed by two trains. It happened along the CSX tracks in Newark around six o’clock Sunday morning. The Geneva City Council has passed a resolution clearing up a discrepancy over outdoor dining at city restaurants. Outdoor dining will be allowed between April 1st and November 1st.
