Ovid woman ticketed after crashing into ditch

Deputies in Seneca County say that they responded to a one car crash on State Route 89 in Ovid on September 6. Upon investigation deputies learned that Lauren Roughton, 39, of Ovid lost control of the vehicle she was operating and went off the road — coliding with a ditch on Deer Lick Springs Road. 11 arrested in Seneca County fraud crackdown

Eleven people were arrested during a welfare fraud crackdown conducted by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office. In their monthly “snapshot” for August, Sheriff Tim Luce and Undersheriff John Cleere said the sting start at the end of July and continued throughout August.
