Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies report that on Friday around 7:00 am Terry G Stevens II, age 35 of 2135 Chapman Street in Ovid, was involved in a personal injury motorcycle accident on County Road 139A in the Town of Ovid.
The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office had received several complaints of motorcycles traveling at a high rate of speed down County Rd 139 in the Town of Ovid.
Deputies were assigned to conduct radar enforcement within the area and at about 7:00 am Stevens was observed traveling 123 mph in a 55 mph zone.
Stevens then attempted to make a turn on County Rd 139A, lost control of the motorcycle , and left the road and crashed.
Stevens complained of pain in his elbow and ankle and was taken by South Seneca Ambulance to a landing zone where Life Net transported him to Upstate Medical Center for treatment.
The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation of this incident. Ovid Fire Department responded and assisted with traffic control in the area.
