Canandaigua duo busted in investigation; possessed 89 baggies of crack cocaine

On Monday at approximately 9:22 p.m., officers of the Canandaigua Police Department, with the assistance of the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department arrested three individuals as part of a narcotics investigation.

Officers took 54-year-old Brenda S. Sims of Canandaigua, 36-year-old Dawn C. Collette of Canandaigua, and a 16-year-old male from Rochester into custody.

It’s alleged that the trio were in possession of approximately 89 baggies of crack cocaine with the intent to sell them.

The arrest stems from an extensive co-investigation conducted by the Canandaigua City Police Department and the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department regarding the sale and distribution of crack cocaine throughout Ontario County.

All three were charged with felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Additional charges are possible, according to investigators.
