A Wayne County man was arrested Sunday and charged with a hate crime for allegedly breaking into a home and directing racially motivated threats against the resident.
Adam J. Doucet, 32, of Lyons, has been charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree aggravated harassment as a hate crime.
The charges came after an investigation conducted by the state police in consultation with the agency’s hate crimes unit, according to a news release.
