Skaneateles girls top Pal-Mac in Class D state lacrosse semifinals

Palmyra-Macedon’s breakthrough season in girls lacrosse came to an end on Friday afternoon. The Red Raiders were undone by a slow start in the second half of the Class D state semifinals and lost, 10-7, to Section III’s Skaneateles at the State University of New York at Cortland.

“Obviously you’re disappointed to lose this game but one of the goals, for sure, was to get here,” said 10th-year coach Pal-Mac coach E.J. Burse. “Being the first team in school history to win a sectional title and then obviously make it all the way here hopefully that’s kind of kicked open the door for generations to come.”
