New York Wine & Culinary Center announces new operations manager

The NYWCC is happy to announce the promotion of Jacqueline Wooster to Operations Manager. “Jacqueline has been with us for one year and has provided incredible value to our team through her compassionate leadership, dedication, and commitment to the Center”, said John Berndt, NYWCC General Manager. “We are pleased and proud to have her take on the responsibility of managing NYWCC’s entire operation and elevate our overall mission, service commitment, and values in our day-to-day happenings”.

In her expanded role, Jacqueline will take the lead on events including the upcoming Riesling Release party on May 19th, and the winemaker dinner series featuring Sheldrake Point Winery on May 11th. Prior to working at NYWCC, she was the Food & Beverage Manager at the Renaissance DelMonte Lodge where she received the “Manager of the Year” award twice and the Renaissance Saber Award for Global Beverage Professional of the Year in 2013.

“We are also thrilled to share that Gary Parmelee, a Finger Lakes Community College graduate and our Executive Sous Chef at NYWCC, is taking on additional responsibilities,” said Berndt. “Gary will continue to lead our Culinary team, facilitate and maintain partnerships with local farms and vendors, offsite catering, food truck, and educational program support. We could not be happier about Gary’s increased role at NYWCC.”

Gary has been practicing culinary arts for seven years, and has been a member of the NYWCC team for five of those years. Gary has always believed in leading by example, and inspires our entire team. He continues to work with FLCC student classes, activities, and events.

“With the new roles for Jacqueline and Gary, the NYWCC is ready for our prime Spring and Summer season and we look forward to welcoming customers to the Center,” said Berndt.
