A 21-year-old Canandaigua man is facing numerous charges after he prevented a female from breathing during a domestic incident that took place on New Year’s Day.
Officers in Canandaigua arrested Ezekiel Simmons, 21, of Canandaigua for third-degree menacing, criminal obstruction of breathing, and endangering the welfare of a child after he allegedly put his hands over the mouth of a female, who was then unable to breathe during a domestic incident.
Police say she was pinned to a bed at the residence while a one-year-old child was present. He was taken into custody without incident and will answer the charges at a later date in Canandaigua City Court.
