Neighbors in the Village of Fair Haven fed up with weeds in the water

This is Little Sodus Bay-a slice of paradise that Nancy Howe and her family call home each summer.

Just catching their breath after record flooding last year, Nancy says weeds in the water are spoiling this season.

"I'm extremely upset about it. We do have weeds, but they never are like they are this year they're way above the water the algae is underneath. We can't swim we can't boat, we can't. The fishing has come to a halt," She added.

"You have to literally stop your boat, stop the motor, lift it up and take clumps of great big weeds and then try to proceed on," said Howe.

So, who's responsible for clearing this mess?

The Cayuga County Soil and Water Conservation District the agency says its bogged down with weed-harvesting.
