Canandaigua man fled police, later arrested for resisting arrest

On Monday at approximately 4:25 pm members of the Canandaigua Police Department executed an arrest warrant – taking a 25-year-old male into custody on charges related to a stay away order of protection.

Miles E. Nelson, 25, of Canandaigua was charged with second-degree contempt and resisting arrest.

Police say that on June 26th Nelson had contact with a party who was protected under a stay away order.

When officers responded to the scene, Nelson fled on foot. He was taken into custody on Monday and charged.

He was taken to the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment.
