On Tuesday a Fayette man was arrested following an investigation into a domestic incident that happened on June 9th.
Police say David J. Peek, 42, of Fayette was charged with third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, endangering the welfare of a child, unlawful imprisonment, and criminal mischief.
Peek is accused of restraining a local resident while also squeezing the victim’s neck – shoving them into a bed frame hard enough to cause physical injury.
During the incident, Peek was holding a child and took the victim’s cell phone away from them – preventing that individual from calling 911.
Peek was arraigned in Tyre Town Court and released. An order of protection was issued.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
