Despite being previously defeated in a committee, Cayuga Community College's budget request with a funding increase of $44,789 from the Cayuga County Legislature was approved Tuesday night after being reintroduced on the floor.
The resolution, which requested the county raise its budget contribution to $3,030,736 as part of the college's $29.72 million total budget, passed after Legislator Ryan Foley, D-Auburn reintroduced the measure and a subsequent 2/3 roll call vote succeeded.

All the committee members who voted against the proposal then did so again, namely committee chair Joseph Bennett, D-Auburn, Andrew Dennison, R-Ira, and Paul Pinckney, R-Aurelius, as well as Legislators Tucker Whitman, R-Sterling and Michael Didio, R-Auburn.
