FLCC celebrating 50th graduation

The first Finger Lakes Community College graduate to serve on the college’s Board of Trustees returns to campus Saturday to give the commencement address.

Nancy Langer, a Class of 1977 graduate, was a wife and mother of five when she enrolled in what was then Community College of the Finger Lakes. She later earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees, enjoyed a successful career as a Rochester City School District teacher and has logged more than 15,000 hours volunteering at national wildlife refuges and Bureau of Land Management monuments and campgrounds.
