The Orange survived constant effort and a late-game surge by Clemson on Saturday to get a much needed victory inside the Carrier Dome.
Tyus Battle and Oshae Brissett led the way for the Orange on the offensive production end, but the headline out of this game was the Orange’s ability to defend the rim late in the game.
The 55-52 win doesn’t guarantee a seat in the madness later this month, but the win goes a long way to providing Coach Jim Boeheim with a major, quality win late in the season for the committee to remember.
