What sold Vontae Davis on Buffalo?

He could’ve taken his talents to the Golden State and signed with either the Oakland Raiders or the San Francisco 49ers. Or he could’ve gone back to the Sunshine State and rejoined the Miami Dolphins, the team who made him a first-round pick.

But free agent CB Vontae Davis opted to come to Buffalo. A city that’s currently buried in over a foot of snow.

“Those guys, Mr. [Brandon] Beane, coach [Sean] McDermott, those guys made me feel welcome. They made me feel at home. As I went on my visits and I evaluated everything, it felt like I just belonged in Buffalo,” said Davis via conference call. “I feel like they run their organization with a lot of integrity. They respect their players. I felt like the place was for me. Even though Buffalo was one of my first visits, it seemed like it just stuck with me throughout all my visits, because of Buffalo and their whole organization. They had a huge impression on me.”
