Deputies in Ontario County say a 21-year-old Clifton Springs resident was charged with driving while intoxicated after a personal injury accident on State Route 488 in Hopewell.
Cody M. Sanford, 21, was charged with DWI after investigation revealed that he was under the influence of alcohol during the crash.
State Route 488 was closed between Malone and Archer roads for more than two hours due to the crash.
Sanford had to be transported to F.F. Thompson Hospital as result of the collision. Canandaigua Ambulance assisted at the scene and transported the driver.
He was also charged with failure to keep right, according to deputies.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
