State Supreme Court Justice Craig Doran was recently reappointed administrative judge of the Seventh Judicial District.
A Canandaigua resident and Ontario County Court judge, Doran was first named to the position in 2012. The district covers Cayuga, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne and Yates counties.
Doran was first elected as an Ontario County judge in 1999 and re-elected in 2009. Before that, he was a state assemblyman representing the 129th District from 1994 to ’99.
He was elected a state Supreme Court justice in 2015. As administrative judge, Doran is responsible for overseeing the operation of all the courts in the district, including Supreme Court, county and local courts.
