Sheriff: Syracuse woman gave wrong name after Junius theft

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, on Thursday at approximately 10 am, Investigators arrested Quwana L.L. West, 35, of Syracuse.

West was charged with two counts of possession of Burglar’s Tools, one count of Petit Larceny, one count of second-degree Criminal Impersonation, all Class A Misdemeanors, and one count of first-degree Offering a False instrument for filing, a Class E Felony.

The arrest stems from an investigation into the theft of merchandise from a Town of Junius business. It is alleged that while West was being processed at the Law Enforcement Center, she provided officers with a name and date of birth that were not hers.

West was arraigned at the Town of Tyre Court where she was committed to the custody of the Sheriff in lieu of $500 bail.

West is scheduled to appear in both the Town of Junius and also the Town of Romulus to answer to the charges.
