Two longtime local benefactors have committed a combined $3 million for an upcoming renovation project at Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic.
Marjorie Morris and G.W. Lisk Co. are making the donation for a $32 million project that will expand and improve the hospital’s primary and preventive care facilities. It will create a new 75,000-square-foot outpatient “medical village.”
Construction is slated to begin Nov. 14. Officials from Rochester Regional Health, which has an affiliation with the hospital, said the donations effectively kick off the boldest concerted fundraising effort in the hospital’s history as part of Rochester Regional’s “Because Care Matters” campaign.
“Marjorie, as well as her family, and G.W. Lisk continue to demonstrate extraordinary philanthropic leadership in Clifton Springs,” said Dr. Eric Bieber, president and CEO of Rochester Regional Health. “We are incredibly fortunate to have benefited from their generosity for so long. And while gifts of this magnitude are transformative, our goals in Clifton Springs and the rest of the health system will not be achieved by an individual effort. To realize our vision for the region’s health care, we need broad community support.”
