A 31-year-old Manchester man was arrested by deputies after authorities were called to the Manchester McDonald’s located on State Rt. 96 for the report of a male that had stolen money from a vehicle.
Deputies say that K-9 Daphne was utilized in tracing the suspects path from the vehicle to the restaurant. According to deputies, the money was found in some bushes along the property.
The suspect was identified as Zackarie D’Amato, 31, of Manchester.
He is accused of stealing cash from another employee’s vehicle, which was parked in the parking lot. He was charged with petit larceny.
The charges will be answered at a later date, but D’Amato was remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail.
