The first full quarter del Lago Resort & Casino was open for business generated millions in tax revenue for the state and local governments within the Finger Lakes and Southern Tier gaming region.
The total tax revenue shared with local and state governments was $10,890,179, according to records published by the state comptroller's office and the state Gaming Commission.
The state's share in the second quarter of 2017 was $8,712,143. The funding will be split between educational assistance and property tax relief.
Seneca County and the town of Tyre — del Lago's host municipalities — each received $544,508.90. That's higher than the $389,165.20 each government netted in the first quarter.
Broome County collected $584,468.98 — the highest total among non-host municipalities. Tompkins County received $295,917.30. Chemung County got $121,205.93.
Wayne and Schuyler counties received $58,321.60 and $29,103.99.
