Syracuse football freshman quarterback Tommy DeVito is receiving second-team reps during the first week of preseason camp, multiple teammates said after practice on Wednesday.
The Don Bosco (Ramsey, N.J.) Preparatory Schools prospect arrived in late May with quite the reputation. He was an Elite 11 finalist, a member of The Opening’s all-7-on-7 team and a starter in the Under Armour All-American Game. DeVito turned down offers from post-pledge suitors Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Washington State.
And initial returns on DeVito’s first few months in college are that he’s as good as advertised.
