The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says a Newark man is facing multiple charges, including several vehicle and traffic citations after he violated a stay away order of protection.
Deputies say Jason W. Tellier, 42, of Arcadia was arrested after he was observed operating a vehicle on Minsteed Rd. with his wife as a passenger.
His wife has an active stay away order of protection against him and he is ordered to stay at least 250 feet away from her at all times.
After exiting his vehicle and fleeing into the woods, Tellier was located in the yard of his residence a short time later and taken into custody without further incident.
He was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operator, and operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device.
Tellier was remanded to the Wayne County Jail.
