Former state Sen. Michael Nozzolio has received another honor from his alma mater.
Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences launched the Senator Michael Nozzolio Fund for Viticulture and Enology, an endowment fund that will support the school’s wine and grape research.
Nozzolio earned bachelor’s and master degrees at Cornell in the mid-1970s. During his career as a state legislator, which spanned three decades, he was a leading advocate for research efforts at the university’s New York State Agricultural Experiment Station.
