The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce and Hampton Inn Seneca Falls named Generations Bank as the March Business of the Month.
Established in 1870, Generations Bank currently has locations in three Finger Lakes Region counties; Ontario, Seneca and Cayuga County. They offer various financial services options including: traditional banking, a full service independent insurance agency and investment services.
With more than 100 employees, Generations Bank is rooted in the communities they serve. Generations has contributed mightily to local charitable and non-profit organizations. Last year, employees volunteered an average of 68 hours per month with several local organizations, helping earn the company an award from “CNY Best Places to Work” in 2015 and 2016. Among their major sponsorship endeavors, the “Right to Run 19k” celebrates the women’s movement and pays homage to their local history – as founding bank president Jacob Chamberlain was one of the 32 men who signed the Declaration of Sentiments at the first Women’s Rights Convention in Seneca Falls.
“Generations Bank is among the leading financial institutions in the area and their record of growth, innovation and service have helped move our community forward in numerous ways,” said Membership Development Manager Mackenzie Green.
