Wolf Scout Chipper Grennell, 8, said he felt good about the small gray car with plastic fire at the Cayuga County District Cub Scout Pinewood Derby, even though it wasn't going as fast as he hoped.

"I think my car in the end will get better at (the competition)" Grennell said.

Grennell explained why the scouts appealed to him. "I just wanted to get outside more and get more active," Grennell said.
