On Wednesday at 7 am deputies with the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two car personal injury accident at the intersection of State Route 96A and West River Road in Fayette.
Deputies say a vehicle operated by Jamie Hess, 23, of Waterloo was traveling west on West River Road when she proceeded through the intersection — failing to yield the right of way to a northbound vehicle being operated by Robert DePillo, 28, of Ovid on State Route 96A — causing a collision.
Hess was transported by North Seneca Ambulance to Geneva General Hospital with minor injuries. DePillo was uninjured. Both vehicle sustained heavy damage and were flat bedded from the scene. Border City Fire Department responded to the scene.
Hess was issued a traffic ticket for failure to yield the right of way.
