Deputies with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office report that an investigation into a shooting, which took place at a Richmond home has resulted in two arrests.
The incident took place on November 13th and deputies report that a shotgun was fired inside a home causing substantial risk of serious physical injury to others inside. One person was treated at F.F. Thompson Hospital for minor injuries, which were caused by flying glass from the shotgun spray.
Michael Taylor, 26, of Rochester was charged on December 20th with second-degree obstructing governmental administration as the investigation revealed that he had removed the shotgun from the residence prior to law enforcement arriving on scene.
Stephen T. Barlow, 24, of Honeoye was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment after the investigation revealed that he had acted recklessly by discharging a shotgun inside the residence. In addition to the one patient, who was treated at F.F. Thompson Hospital — two other individuals were treated at the scene, refusing any further treatment.
Both were issued appearance tickets and will answer the charges in Richmond Town Court at a later date.
