When the owners of this deer cam in Cheshire finally got around to looking at the photos taken on the evening of November 29th — they were in for quite a surprise.
This black bear appeared on the camera, which was placed on Woolhouse Road in Canandaigua.
The photo was submitted by Diane Hurlburt, who said the deer cam image was taken at her daughter’s residence.

Wildlife experts say that bears passing through the Finger Lakes is a somewhat common occurrence. While they don’t pose any direct risk to people, it serves as a reminder to pay attention when out and about in the region.
