Lyons to discuss historic district project

A proposal to enlarge the scope of area that could be potentially included in the National Register of Historic Places will be discussed at a public information session at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Lyons Public Library, 122 Broad St.

The town is working with the Lyons Main Street Program and community members to develop a National Register of Historic Places District and has received a $9,500 grant to develop the application. The national register is administered by the state Department of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
