On Monday at approximately 10:17 am the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested David E. Merkley Jr., age 23 of 106 Washington Street in Geneva, for Forcible Touching, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Persistent Sexual Abuse, a Class E Felony. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on May 27 in the Town of Seneca Falls where Merkley subjected a female resident to forced intimate physical contact.
Merkley was arraigned in the Town of Tyre Town Court and was committed to the Seneca Falls Correctional Facility on $5000 bail or $10,000 bond. Merkley is to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Town Court on June 10 at 9:00 am to answer to the charges.
