Deputies report that on November 11th at approximately 2:30 a.m. an Auburn man was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The traffic stop took place on State Route 318 in Tyre when deputies observed 32-year-old Brian J. Willis speeding. On Thursday night, the city council unanimously approved a resolution to seek funding through a federal grant for the city’s Retired Seniors Volunteer Program that could benefit the new downtown Equal Rights Heritage Center by allowing seniors to volunteer there.
