Dozens of residents rallied Monday to urge local legislators to pass a law that would require that all employers in Tompkins County pay their employees a living wage.
On Monday afternoon, the Tompkins County Workers’ Center organized a rally before the Health and Human Services Committee. There, Pete Meyers, coordinator for the Workers’ Center, handed a petition to the committee with around 3,000 signatures of people who support raising the minimum wage to a living wage in Tompkins.
