Auburn man pleads guilty to illegally selling narcotics, possessing a weapon

An Auburn man charged with multiple felonies for illegally selling narcotics pleaded guilty in Cayuga County Criminal Court Tuesday morning.

Johnnie Sease Jr., of 2 Capitol St., was arrested the evening of June 14 after law enforcement executed a search warrant of his home. Drugs, weapons, cash and other items were uncovered by the Finger Lakes Drug Task Force, which was assisted by the Auburn Police Department’s Emergency Response Team and K-9 unit as well as the New York Army National Guard Counter Drug Task Force.



In court, Sease, 58, pleaded guilty to three charges to satisfy his 18-charge indictment. He pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, third-degree criminal possession of a narcotic drug, a class B felony and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony.

Sease admitted to both possessing about 15 grams of crack cocaine and selling cocaine to another individual even though he knew it was illegal to possess and sell. He also admitted to possessing a Taurus Judge revolver while committing the drug trafficking felonies.
