Starting Wednesday, Dec. 12, the elevator in Auburn's Memorial City Hall will be out of service. The elevator is being replaced and the project is expected to take about three months.
The elevator's 1930 original relays and switchgear will be replaced, leaving the installment of a more dependable and energy efficient service, the city said in a press release.
A temporary accessibility ramp has been placed outside the front of the South Street building to provide access to first floor offices. Handicap parking will be available along the street opposite of the building's front entrance.
