Deputies in Wayne County say a 14-year-old led officers on a chase on Wednesday around 9:30 p.m. along Ridge Road.
Both of the suspects inside the vehicle, who were not named, are 14- and 17-years-old, according to deputies.
Investigators say deputies attempted to stop the 14-year-old, who was operating the vehicle – and that’s when they pulled away.
The engine in the car died a short time after they drove away – and the teens drove the vehicle into a field.
Both are from Rochester. The 14-year-old was charged with fleeing from police; and the 17-year-old was arrested on drug charges.
More charges are possible, according to investigators.
