Geneva resident charged with DWI after colliding with tractor-trailer in Tyre

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports a personal injury accident, which resulted in DWI charges for a Geneva resident.

Deputies say a minivan struck a tractor-trailer on State Route 414 in front of the Exit 41 Thruway ramp. The tractor-trailer was being operated by Grant Clark, 38, of Weedsport, and was traveling north on State Route 414 – attempting to turn onto the Exit 41 entrance when a minivan operated by Daphne Dressing, 41, of Geneva failed to stop a red light – striking the truck.

Clark was checked at the scene and transported by ambulance to Auburn Community Hospital.

Deputies say Dressing was checked at the scene and uninjured.

Further investigation determined that Dressing was intoxicated. She was charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of 0.08 percent or more, and passing through a red light.

Dressing was released on appearance tickets, according to deputies. They say that both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
