Police report that a 21-year-old Penn Yan resident was arrested on multiple charges after a traffic stop, in which he had a blood-alcohol level three-times the legal limit.
Austin C. Ames, of Penn Yan was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, open container, failure to keep right, and insufficient signal after the stop.
He was transported to the Yates County Public Safety Building where he submitted to a chemical test, which revealed a 0.24 percent BAC.
He was issued traffic tickets and will answer the charges at a later date.
