Anthony said Jennifer L. Lakota, 29, 14 Seymour St., entered the front door of her neighbor's residence around 10 p.m. Sept. 1 and took a purse that was on the table. The purse had $365 in cash, a cell phone, a wallet, a checkbook, some cigarettes and some of the neighbor's personal papers.

Lakota was charged Tuesday with third-degree burglary, petit larceny and three counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and was arraigned at Auburn City Court that same day.
