In July, Charles A. Bullock, of 62 N. Fulton St., pleaded guilty in Cayuga County Court to two counts of first-degree attempted criminal possession of a forged instrument, a class D felony. He admitted that in April, he knowingly used a fake $100 bill at Byrne Dairy on Arterial East and three fake $100 bills at Save-A-Lot on Seminary Street.
Thursday, the 48-year-old was sentenced by Judge Mark Fandrich to two to four years in prison for each count of possessing fake money, to be served concurrently, Cayuga County District Attorney Jon Budelmann said. The judge also included a Comprehensive Alcohol and Substance Abuse Treatment (CASAT) order with Bullock's sentence, which will allow him to receive treatment while in prison.
Bullock is a second-felony offender. He was convicted of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property in April 2013. He could have faced up to seven years in prison.
