Seneca Falls Superintendent McKeveny to retire after school year

In a letter on the Seneca Falls Central School District’s website, Superintendent Robert McKeveny has announced his intentions to retire after the 2018-19 school year.

McKeveny has been superintendent for 11 years after 16 years as a principal.

“My decision to retire was not an easy one,” McKeveny writes in the letter. “However, knowing that there are outstanding people and ongoing focused initiatives, the school district will continue moving in a positive direction and maintain its reputation as a top quality school district in the region and state.”

Sept. 4 is the opening day of school in the Seneca Falls district.
