Police: Former Geneva man stole $1,464 in merch from Seneca Falls business

On Monday at approximately 1:15 pm police arrested a former Geneva resident on drug and larceny charges following an investigation.

Todd J. VanDeMortel, 52, was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

The arrest stems from reports in July and August of stolen merchandise from a business totaling $1,464.44.

At the time he was taken into custody, he was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and non-prescribed prescription medications.

He was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to further answer the charges in Seneca Falls Town Court on August 20th.
