FLX FORECAST: Drying out and getting comfortable this weekend

It should be a mostly pleasant weekend here in the Finger Lakes, as things stay mainly dry and comfortable.

FLX Weather Meteorologist Drew Montreuil reports that Saturday should remain mostly dry with a slight chance for a few showers during the afternoon. “Any given shower should not last in a single location more than 15-30 minutes. Showers will dissipate as the sun begins to set,” he said in an update on Friday.

Sunday will be even drier, with a lesser chance for rain. The entire region should remain rain-free on Sunday – even for those who see a spotty shower on Saturday.

Temperatures both days will range from 75 to 80.

The weather pattern will be unsettled throughout the new work week. An active storm track will remain in place bringing additional rain chances to the Finger Lakes.

However, it shouldn’t be a repeat of this week. Significantly less rain is expected next week.
