Auburn Doubledays sweep doubleheader against West Virginia to snap skid

The Auburn Doubledays broke a pair of streaks.

The Doubledays took both halves of a doubleheader against the Black Bears, snapping Auburn’s five-game slide and ending West Virginia’s five-game win streak at Falcon Park Monday.

The final scores were 4-0 and 3-2 in favor of Auburn.

“Thrilling fashion at the end,” Doubledays manager Jerad Head said with a smile. “I think overall we took care of the baseball, we put together quality at-bats and our situational hitting was really good. Pitching? All five guys in the second game came in and did a great job, especially the bullpen.”
