A jury cleared a Geneva woman of welfare fraud and two other charges following a three-day trial earlier this year.
Nia M. McCall was found not guilty of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, fourth-degree welfare fraud and fourth-degree grand larceny.
The trial in Ontario County Court began March 5 and ended two days later.
McCall had been accused of providing false information on two occasions when applying for public assistance in 2016. She was found innocent of all charges more than 10 months after Ontario County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested her.
