Police: Lodi man stole medication out of shopping cart at Walmart

On Tuesday at 9:08 pm the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a Lodi man at Walmart after a larceny investigation involving prescription pills.

Keith L. Champion, 54, of Lodi was arrested after police were called to the Walmart where a store customer reported that a medication he had just purchased was stolen out of the shopping cart.

Following the investigation police identified Champion as the suspect. Police located Champion at his residence in Lodi where he admitted to the larceny and turned over the medication.



Champion was charged with one count petit larceny, and one count criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was processed and released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on June 28th, 2018, at 9:00 am.

The Seneca Falls Police Department was assisted by the New York State Police.
